Data collected: the details you enter yourself in the site forms (name, email, message, booking preferences) and the email address you leave to receive the free PDF guide.
Purpose and legal basis: to answer your enquiries, handle booking requests and send the guide you asked for (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, art. 6.1.b GDPR). To download the guide you need to accept this policy and the terms of service. If you also tick the optional box, you will occasionally receive other emails from Italy Point Of View (consent, art. 6.1.a GDPR): you can withdraw it at any time by replying to one of those emails or writing to info@italypointofview.com. Without that tick your data is not used for newsletters or marketing.
Retention: requests sent through the site are kept in the site archive and in the controller's mailbox for as long as needed to handle them, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless the law requires otherwise (for example tax records). After that period the site archive deletes them automatically.
Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR (Reg. EU 2016/679), by writing to info@italypointofview.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Technical services and processors: the site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, CDN and request archive); form notifications are delivered by Resend, Inc. (transactional email); visit statistics, only with your consent, use Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4), with possible transfer to Google LLC in the United States, certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. All of them process data on behalf of the controller as data processors. Payments are handled by Stripe, Inc. on their own systems: card details never pass through this site.
The service you can book from this site is the introductory call: a video call of the length stated at checkout, followed by a written recap. The call can be cancelled or moved up to 24 hours before the scheduled time by writing to info@italypointofview.com: in that case the amount paid is refunded in full. After that point the amount is not refundable. Services that follow the call are governed by tailored quotes accepted in writing.
